Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We are very pleased with our entire experience with Fenstermann Windows and Ingo who answered all of our questions and guided us through every step of the process of selection, design and installation. The shades were perfectly made (German engineering!) and arrived ahead of schedule. They look great and operate smoothly.

We have expensive casement windows that are part of out interior design and could not find a window treatment solution that would be minimalist enough allow us to keep the windows/casements on display while also gaining privacy and the ability to choose how much of each window we wanted to have views from. The Fenstermann windows are very compact and were the perfect solution for us.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Outstanding customer service. I had so many questions and requests for samples. Ingo Scholz and then Jenny Lakner were so patient with me. Thank you. The blinds work just like I'd hoped on my tilt-turn windows. I'd been searching for blinds that attached directly to the window glass and these worked just right. The only problem in attaching the blinds was that the video and directions did not mention that the top had magnets and so I had some confusion assembling the blinds. But the mistake I made at the beginning was easy to fix. And, now we love the blinds. Thanks, Ingo and Jenny!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Highly Recommend!! Have a new home with 27 Craftsman style windows that needed coverings. Typical companies wanted to put external mount or plantation shutters on. They looked so bulky and awkward I couldn't do it. The jam on the Windows is just over 1/2in. so most coverings would not fit. I finally found Fenstermann as an alternative. The blinds are sleek, high quality, and come in a variety of colors and styles. Far more than the alternatives could offer. When I called the office to order at 630p expecting to leave a message, Ingo himself answered the phone and took my order and walked me through the process. When the blinds came there was one missing. I took some photos of the package and emailed Ingo. The same day he put in the order to replace the lost shade, no issues. I installed the shades myself. By the third shade I timed myself, it took 10 minutes. The shades look great and are easy to use. They have a new feature with magnets at the top fittings so the shades will 'click' into the top for a snug fit. Really nice.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. As part of a construction project on our home we installed European Tilt & Turn Windows and Doors. Searching for shades to fit these particular Windows and Doors was frustrating. The usual local suppliers offered shades that contain mostly cumbersome and unattractive features or hardware. I found most headers for doors or larger windows extremely wide and bulky looking.
Through my online search I came about Fenstermann LLC - German Window Blinds & Shads. What a find!
Ingo the president of the company is knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating, and generous with his time.
Fabric samples I asked for arrived quickly.
The order took almost no time to arrive. The shads look wonderful, fit perfectly, have the clean features I was looking for and were easy to install.
The manufacturer uses small, minimal hardware using headers that are almost invisible which is so lovely compared with most alternatives. Not to mention that in comparison the cost was definitely more reasonable.
Prior to installation Ingo took the time to go over the steps via video conference. His help made the installation not only quick, easy and problem free but also fun and pleasant.
I am extremely happy to have found this company, have these Shades on my windows and Doors and to have had the opportunity to work with Ingo Scholz.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My husband found Fenstermann window treatments online and we contacted Ingo Scholz to see if we could get some pleated blind samples. Our project was four double hung windows in an older home with curved oak moldings, so we had very little clearance to hang inside window treatments. Ingo was helpful at each step of the process - gave us insights into the different types of privacy, provided us samples, placed the order for us, even corrected an issue we had when it was realized we hadn't specified the hardware color. (I should point out that we live 1500 miles away in the Midwest and Ingo is in Florida). We measured the windows and did the installation ourselves by following Ingo's YouTube videos - the fit was perfect and the blinds look fantastic. I guess the highest compliment we can give is that we are now looking at another installation of the product for a different room in our home and are planning to work with Ingo again.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We recently had European style tilt-turn windows installed in our house. Getting the right window coverings was a challenge. Working with Ingo, we found the right product. He patiently guided us through the decision-making and self-installation process, which turned out to be no problem at all, even for a person not particularly handy with do-it-yourself projects around the house. We are very pleased with the results. Vielen Dank, Herr Fenstermann!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Excellent and friendly customer service from Ingo, he was glad to send color and texture samples and answer our many questions. The blinds are beautiful, fit perfectly in our rather narrow window openings, easy to operate, and the blackout shades really work. They were also easy to install, which we weren't expecting. Very happy with our blinds!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I spent a couple of years looking at honeycomb window shades from different manufacturers but the shades were too bulky for our windows. After searching for low-profile shades, I discovered Fenstermann and working with Ingo was a pleasure. Not only did the shades arrive on schedule, they were easy to install and met all of our expectations and beyond.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We just built a new house, and one of the challenges was to find shades for the European tilt and turn windows. Additionally, our media room has tall ceilings and clerestory windows that we needed to block sunlight to watch TV without glare. The windows are so high up we needed a remote control.

We called multiple shade/blind companies in the Boston area, but to our surprise, many of them did not know much about these types of windows. The company that sold us the windows said: "Look no further; Fennstermann is your man!"

We were initially skeptical because he lives in Florida, and my husband and I are not handy people. We always thought this should be done entirely by a professional, but Ingo made the job easy.

Ingo's service was impeccable.
He guided us through the different types of available shades. There were many! He shipped us swatches we liked and explained how the shades would work. We questioned whether we could get the correct measurement, but Ingo had a video and paper instructions teaching us how to do it correctly. After receiving the shades, he patiently helped us put the first shade up via video call. Ingo was cheerful, funny, knowledgeable, and responsive to any issues and concerns we had. We had a small problem with the order, and Ingo was prompt and swift in rectifying the issue.

The shades look great
We got two different shades. For tilt and turn windows, we could only get the honeycomb type. They block the light just right, working great in our bedrooms. We are delighted. They look expensive, modern, and sleek.

In the media room, we wanted a total blackout. The windows are 10 feet from the floor, so we needed a remote control. The shades roll smoothly, and the remote control is sexy. It feels like midnight when the shades are down—perfect movie-viewing experience.

The price is right
We were surprised Fennstermann had similar and often better pricing than other companies from which we got estimates.

We were always dealing with Ingo, and he was always there for us, offering his expertise. He made a potentially anxiety-provoking experience pleasant and fulfilling.

If you are looking for blinds and shades, give Fenstermann LLC a call. I am sure you will be very happy.

FAQ's

Custom Window Treatment Frequently Asked Questions

We want you to feel confident in choosing the right window treatments for your Mart home. Here are answers to some of the most common questions we receive about our custom inside mount blinds, cellular shades, and specialized door systems.

Will your blinds work on tilt and turn windows?

Yes, this is one of our specialties. Our custom blinds for tilt and turn windows are secured with top and bottom brackets and running cords. This keeps the shade flush against the glass at all times, even when the window is tilted open from the top.

What is the minimum depth required for your inside mount blinds?

Our thin blinds for windows can be mounted in casings with as little as 30 millimeters of depth. We specialize in shallow mount systems that sit flush inside the window frame where traditional, bulky blinds simply cannot fit.

Can you cover large sliding glass patio doors?

Yes, we offer a variety of modern window coverings for sliding doors. Our slim profile roller shades and sliding cellular systems stack compactly to the side, allowing you to control light and privacy without obstructing your foot traffic.

How do I get started with Fenstermann LLC?

Simply reach out to us via our contact page to schedule a professional consultation in Mart. We will discuss your design ideas, analyze your window types, and help you select the ideal custom engineered shades for your home.

What makes your window treatments different from standard retail blinds?

Our window treatments are custom engineered to fit directly within your window frame with an incredibly slim profile. Unlike standard retail options, our systems are built to the exact millimeter and do not require deep window casings, making them perfect for shallow windows and European style tilt and turn windows.

Can I install your shades on doors without drilling into the frame?

Yes, we offer specialized clamp and adhesive mounting systems that attach directly to the glass bead or frame. This allows us to install beautiful, functional shades on your French doors or folding doors without voiding your window manufacturer warranty.

What are the benefits of choosing a cellular shade?

A cellular shade features a unique honeycomb structure that traps air inside hollow pockets. This creates a highly effective thermal barrier right at your glass, keeping your rooms cooler in the summer, warmer in the winter, and helping to reduce your monthly energy bills.

Do you offer cordless window treatments for child safety?

Absolutely, child safety is our top priority. We specialize in cordless cellular shades and tensioned systems that operate smoothly with a simple touch. These designs completely eliminate dangerous hanging cords, keeping your home safe for children and pets.
